Nicole fell in love with yoga in her 20's and witnessed first-hand how yoga had the ability to help heal emotional wounds, reduce anxiety, ease physical pain, and promote overall well-being. Yoga has helped improve every aspect of her life, so naturally she wanted to help others realize similar benefits. In 2014, she deepened her practice by completing a 200-hour yoga teacher training through Yandara Yoga Institute. Nicole is registered with Yoga Alliance (200 RYT) and has previously taught at The U.S. Science & Engineering Festival in Washington DC, and Homewood Senior Center in Frederick, MD. She is also a certified Reiki Practitioner (Level 2) and incorporates Reiki into her yoga sessions.
Nicole offers private classes by appointment. Each session is inspiring, and safe, creating a relaxing, and positive experience. Her teaching style combines gentle poses with breath work (i.e. pranayama). Body awareness is also heavily emphasized. Never tried yoga? Want to practice yoga but not into the whole "scene?" No need to be flexible; just the willingness to allow more relaxation and peace into your life are necessary. Fancy yoga clothes are not. All levels are welcomed, including beginners.
